ask a person or an individual what is his dream for himself.. surely it would be a better life for his own and his family..
ask again if what is that better life, maybe he will answer a good education for his children OR maybe LOTS of Money..
let us go to what really happened.. last night 7 of us went to our friend's house party, it was in a not-so-far place here in Laguna. we decided to walk up to their house. after several minutes of walking we arrived to a place where an unfamiliar creeps came into my body. i know there is something bad will happen upon arriving at the street, it was a well lit street with homes at its side. before arriving at the end of the street, two masked persons arrived with their motor bike. at first, we think it was a joke from our friend who was having his birthday but what gave me the creeps was when the second guy steps down from the motor bike declaring, "holdap ito!" and then raising his arm with a GUN.. I was shocked because it was my first time being done with that. imagine we are 7 and they are only 2. if it was just a blade or knife, we could just fight them back but it was a .45 pistol. wow! after a split second i saw four of my companions dashing forward escaping from the hands of those people, i saw the guy with the gun held my other friend and my instinct told me to run, so I did. we ran like there was no tomorrow. after a long run we realize we are just only 6. I prayed that nothing bad happens to our friend. after minutes of discussing things and being alert if they would follow us, our friend arrived traumatized and in awe shocked. 2 cellphones was forcefully taken from him, pointing the gun to his neck. until now i felt the shock and trauma with it.
one thing came to my mind. they need something that will satisfy for their needs. surely it is MONEY, but what is behind of all this doings.
Poverty - people cannot satisfy their very own needs that is why "kapit sa patalim"
the gun was used as a last resort, if we fought with them, he would had no choice but to take out our own lives.
maybe he or they really need the money for their family or for their own good, one thing is for sure,
tapos na at wala ng magagawa pa... the fear and trauma was already in there..

Election is coming and i hear so many promises of our candidates.. haiii.. May God be with us all.
